Need Information

I need your tips/suggestions/websites for Chicago. What should I do to book a hotel, I looked at Priceline and Travelocity, but I know there are other ones out there. Where should we go, what should we do? We've gone a few times before but we always stick to Michigan Ave, American Girl, Cheesecake Factory, shopping etc. Not completely sure I want to do the aquarium/museum stuff, maybe though! Landon wants to hit ESPN, we WILL eat at Cheesecake Factory once for sure, I was thinking maybe Navy Pier, but I'm open. Weather is kinda an issue too... it could be freezing or hot, whoever knows! So, let me in on your "secrets"!

Well the only suggestion I have is the Taste of Chicago festival which is to DIE for but unfortunately it is July 4th. Soooo, my only advice is DON'T take the train! :-)

I just remembered too that we booked Hotel 71 for our upcoming Chicago weekend. (I think on Orbitz.com) Someone told me to stay at the Hard Rock hotel if possible- that it is awesome. It was booked when we tried. A lot of times when we go to Chicago, we stay in Shaumburg (sp?) where IKEA is and it is MUCH cheaper and we just drive into Chicago to the zoo, aquarium, etc. Would baseball have started up yet? You may could catch a Cubs game.

Love Navy Pier. We went when it was quite blistery cold last year and still enjoyed it! The Children's Museum is there and that was pretty good for a Children's musuem! Hmmm - just have fun doing the things you REALLY want to do!

I can't agree with Sarah on this one either - we loved taking the commuter train in - just an experience I thought! It is nice to have your car down there though if you are with family and it's cold.

Could you look into a condo for a couple nights versus a hotel? We did a condo down there and it was great - can park there too usually (for still a hefty fee, but what isn't a hefty fee down there???)

I know I've ghot more for you, but we LOVE the aquarium! Eden hasn't even seen it yet, but it's just so much fun to watch the fish and the dolphin shows are pretty neat, too. More soon...

Oh no! Sorry to hear all the bad news...I would recommend the aquarium as well, my sister-in-law and I took the kids (before Logan was born) on the commuter train and did that one day. The kids loved it. You may also want to check out what exhibits are at the museum, sometimes they have really neat stuff there too. Good luck!
