Happy Birthday!
Today is Landon's birthday!
Number 11.
He is at camp though
so this is last years picture.
I miss spending his birthday
together!
I think we'll go get ice cream
to celebrate.
Matt's going to be gone anyway!
SWEETNESS!
She loves the mobile
that hangs over her
changing table!
Giggles at the bears as
soon as she sees them!
Overheard
While running from one imaginitive adventure to the next I hear Elliot say, "Sissy, I love you so much!" Awwwwwwwwww!

Waiting for the fountain
Here's how the morning went...
Me: "Kari and Mayci want to go to the fountain with us... ok, sure see you there around 10ish"
Me, E and Sadie (and Lila) arrive at fountain just after 10... it's not on.
Me (on phone): "Kari, it's not on... ok you want to go as in the store... sure, I'll sit with my kids, you go ask"
Kari: (asks at store/bank, they say maybe 10:30, or 11)
Me: (bright idea bulb goes off...) Maybe the fountain is motion activated. "Elliot go run on the fountain to see if it turns on" "Nope, that didn't work"
Sadie & Elliot look in the holes to try to find water... again, no luck
Looking in stagnant water fountain, spitting in the fountain, contributing to the nastiness (but looking oh so cute for a picture)
Me: Let's walk to the Peanut Store to waste some time
(Walk, walk, walk)
(Purchase candy at the Peanut Store)
(Walk, Walk, Walk)
Oh, the story goes on and includes stopping at one other store, a phone call to the bank, a phone call to the city, stopping various employees of various local restaurants, an employee of the USPS (none of which had answers)... more waiting, more waiting, more waiting and finally giving up, without ever seeing a drop of water being released from the fountain.
We'll have to try it again another time. Bummer!
This week has been super-d-duper busy. CRAZINESS. Bailey has been at day camp all week (spent the night last night), Landon has kept busy with various activities, including Baseball and VBS, I've helped at VBS 2 nights, Matt and I went to an open house last night, and tonight he is cleaning up tree's in the yard. Our yard is still a huge mess, sticks EVERYWHERE. Tomorow is a baseball scrimmage and then on Sunday Landon leaves for camp for a few days, returning the day after his birthday. Guess we'll have a party the next weekend. Or not. Who knows.

Weekend...
Thursday:
Boy being boy.
Playing in the hose.
with Mayci.
Friday:
Elliot was being silly as usual.
Elliot & I built a sweet train track together.
Saturday:
Gus Macker, playing in the sand while waiting for a new game.
This was the beach at 9:30 in the morning while it was still COLD. It was packed by the time we left at 3:00.
Landon stayed in Ludington with the other boys at a campground, we just drove up for the day on Saturday. We thought about going again on Sunday, but there was a chance we would have only seen one game (although they ended up playing 2). Driving that far with Lila was a lot of work.
Sunday:
Happy Fathers day to my wonderful husband! I can't say enough how amazing he is, both to me and to our kids. I have no idea what I would do without him!

Our Weekend
Has it really been a whole week since I posted... wow, that's got to be a record for me!
Friday we hung out at Sarah's pool... I got fried (still quite painful 3 days later if that tells you anything), but I did go stock up on Aloe and Sunscreen now, so no more excuses. After sunning myself and cleaning up we left our children in the ever capable (and evil, although we have no proof of the evil) hands of Sarah so that Matt and I could go out for dinner at the Melting Pot! YUMMY! If you've never been you just don't know what you are missing (but it's probably a smart choice, b/c while you are tasting wonderful food, you are missing a lot of your money when you leave there). It was absolutely delicious!
Saturday morning we got up bright and early in the rain to watch what we thought may be Landon's last baseball game with the Rays. It was the first tournament game... they won. So now we play again tonight! If they win we play again on Wednesday and on the off chance they win again, we play Thursday and then that would be the end of the tournament. Our baseball season will continue on until the beginning of August though, so we will still be busy, but that's ok, we planned no vacations for this summer b/c of Lila (good thing too)!
After the game is got nice out and this is what Matt did all afternoon...
.
Our backyard looks like this and our front yard looks very similar. 3 trees are down and the rest have had very generous trim jobs. Poor trees, Matt doesn't like leaves (or shade apparently)!
In the afternoon I took the kids and went to a birthday party for a friends little guy and then we went to have pizza at a friends house. It was a late night, but he kids all had fun, Elliot especially likes following the big guys around, or playing with the girls, or playing with the dog... whatever, he loves it all!
Sunday morning we all slept in until almost 10:00. Barely enough time to get ready for church, but we did it. In that time I also got breakfast in bed and a terabyte of memory for my birthday! After church I took a very long nap and then later we went to take pictures of the boys (Bailey was gone to a friends house already) and then hit up Target to pick up this game. Hopeing to find time to do it and that it makes a dent in my goal!

It's all good!
There is something about the one liner "status" updates on facebook that make it less intimidating to me. To be able to tell "it" in one line takes the pressure off, so in the spirit of facebook...
...had a great weekend!
It's all good...
Whats all good?
First of all, and most of all, my husband is good! He's amazing! Really. I mean it. He works so hard, doing so much, without ever complaining!
This swing... 45 minute naps are taken here!
Baseball... lost again, but it's still fun to watch!
Shopping success! Finally! Without ANY kids! (Whether or not I actually found anything to wear was beside the point, I was out without even one child... and again, my amazing husband was here at one point with 6 kids)
Cosmopolitan, with fruit!
Salmon dinner!
Bathtime
Lila's first real bath (she's been taking showers with me). She loved it!
Elliot got a little crazy with his hair!
Did you believe me when I said she was getting big? Now you do, look at those rolls!
Baptism followed by lunch with family & friends!
A visit with Josh & Bobbie and Parker. Parker is currently "rockin' out" under the Bili lights fighting a case of jaundice... say prayers that he can be in his mommy's arms again very very soon.

Could have been a good upset...
but instead it was a tie.
This is a screen shot of the standings of the teams. Landon's team - at the bottom, the opposing team - at the top. The game ended in a tie. That was BIG NEWS!!!!
This is his "What?" face, like probably it was a strike, but the umpire didn't know what he was doing of course and he called it a ball and that made the boy mad... so Landon!
