Something is strange...

Bailey was in an especially fun mood last night. She opened up a birthday card taht obnoxiously played "Electric Slide" and she proceeded to dance like this. Over and over and over. Normally if we were home alone it wouldn't have been that suprising, but keep in mind she was surrounded by a large group of people. Soooo not my normal Bailey, but I love it just the same.

Stay tuned for the video of this dance!

More pictures

Thursday we had a campfire and we had Denver overnight! Friday I took a few pictures of my darlings!

Friday night we also had a baseball game to go to. Landon's team won, but from what I hear, there is absolutely no reason they shouldn't have won.

Saturday we had more baseball games to go to. We were lucky to have our first game at noon unlike some teams that started at 8am (in Byron Center). They lost thier first game, but I have to say they had a great rally in the 4th inning. starting the inning it was 9-1 (we were down), they came back to tie the game. Because of a time limit this should have been the last inning, but b/c of a tie they had to play another. Unfortunately thier streak didn't continue and they lost. They lost the next game too, which sent us on our way home!

This picture melts my heart, probably b/c I was there. Big brother after a good hit or play or something asking little brother for a bump! So sweet!

So yeah, the only time I don't bring a second outfit along with us is the one time we would need it. She had a bad diaper and spent the second game naked. Oh well, she didn't seem to mind.
Today is Bailey's 8th birthday!!!! Love this girl! She is such a blessing to us daily! She is quite a character with quite a sense of style! Seriously you should see some of the outfits she picks out!

She got to pick the day's events, we had bagels for breakfast, then her and I went shopping to Target (where we worked together to pick out a new outfit and accessories)! Then it was off to Craigs Cruisers for some video games and go carts!

Then it was home to give her her present... a new bike. One that is just a bit big for her, but so much better than the one that is way to small for her!
Soon we will be eating hamburgers per her request and banana splits instead of cake. We will have a party with family later this week!

Looking at my calendar for this week is enough to stress me out, but I know that in the midst of it all it won't be that bad, it just looks like a lot! Bring it on!

What we've been up to...

We've been busy. Mostly with baseball, partly with life.
I feel like the summer is flying by. I have to say that while it was unseasonably cool last weekend I was ok with it, we were out in direct sun at a baseball game. Heat and humidity would have been miserable! I feel like my kids are getting so old. The older two always seem to be gone with friends. It's a struggle to do family stuff. We manage to eat dinner together often though, which makes me happy!

I don't even know what to say about these two (above and below)
Lila, lovin' Eric Carle:
These kids are lovin' summer...
These ones, not so much!
My Higglytown Hero brave and true... (doesn't his to small sweatshirt make him look like one???)
Just a happy face, and I swear I didn't touch her eyes in photoshop, and somehow with web they got toned down a bit... maybe just maybe there here to stay?????

3 months ago today...

Lila was born!
Our family became 6!
Our lives changed forever!

I didnt take a newborn picture and none of them are great, but they are good for size reference. I wish she was naked in the first one, but unfortunately I cant make her small again. :(

On a good note, she just woke up from a 1 and a half hour nap in her carseat (and I'm typing one handed again while I feed her).

Beach day

We went to the beach Sunday evening with six kids (what's two more???)! The kids had a great time, the weather was beautiful... it was fun! Sometimes I avoid doing things at all because it sounds like so much work, I'm less likely to do that if Matt's around, but it still seems like a lot of work. We did it though, and I have to admit, it wasn't that bad!

Have you had your moldy cheese and vomit today?

I bought these for Landon at the Peanut store this past week (we've been spending far to much time there), I thought they looked like such a great 11 year old boy thing. I didn't think they could possibly be that bad. Ha! Landon and Matt said they were the most disgusting things ever! What a great trick that would be for some unsuspecting soul... here's some ear wax and boogers to add to the daily diet! ;) Be on guard if I ever offer you a Jelly Belly!

Have I mentioned...

that this little cutie has accomplished something huge? Last week it was official. He is potty trained. Still working on naps and bedtime, but for the most part he's dry then too!!!! Yay! Just one in diapers now!

Pictures

Lila was not in a good mood yesterday.
We made cookies together.
She enjoyed her sling for the first time.
Not sure how I felt about it yet.

Then I/we took a few pictures with me in them.
Gotta have the memories.
I guess.

Me and my girls.
Love them!

And Miss Lila.
Looking cute as ever.
And big.
Ahhh, time is going so fast!
